POLICIES & REQUIRED FORMS

GENERAL STUDIO POLICIES + CLIENT RESPONSIBILITY

  • REQUIRED FORMS : Please review and complete your required client forms (here) no less than 72 hours prior to your appointment. Failure to do so may jeopardize your ability to proceed with the appointement as scheduled and additional fees may apply.

  • You must be 18 years or older to receive a cosmetic tattoo, no exceptions.

  • DO NOT BOOK IF : you are pregnant, breastfeeding, have cardiac valve disease, have an active skin condition in the area to be tattooed or if you are prone to keloids.

  • If you are diabetic, have glaucoma or ocular hypertension you will need to provide a discussable doctor's note with consent to safely receive a cosmetic tattoo no less than 72 hours prior to your scheduled appointment.

  • PREVIOUS TATTOOS : If you have previously been tattooed (even if faded), a digital consult + pre approval is required prior to booking. Please email a few close up photos of the area, taken in natural/outdoor lighting to: hello@oaklandglow.com for consideration.

  • PRE + AFTER CARE : You will receive detailed instructions prior to your procedure on how to properly prep and care for your tattoo, this is your responsibility - failure to do so may result in having to reschedule your session (to protect the integrity of your skin/tattoo) or require more sessions to achieve the desired look. Additional (inconvenience) fees may apply.

  • HEALED RESULTS vary with each individual client. A minimum of two sessions are recommended but more sessions may be necessary depending on the individual and desired look. Additional charges may apply.

  • ARRIVAL + CAPACITY : Our studio is boutique in size and thus have limited capacity for guests. Please do not arrive more than 5 minutes early for your appointment. If you do require a support person we will happily accommodate with advance notice, please just email us here.

  • PERSONAL BELONGINGS : We kindly ask that you limit personal items to a cell phone and payment method. Any coats, etc will remain with you and will be placed at the foot of your treatment bed.

  • ARTIST SELECTION + COMMITMENT : Please take the time to review our artist portfolios and reach out with any questions prior to booking. Once you have selected your artist please be respectful of your commitment. Treatments are not transferable between artists in our studio. If you have previous work and would like to begin working with another studio artist that is always fine however guidelines for new clients and those with previous work will apply.

  • We have the right to refuse service to anyone.

  • Please Note: All policies and pricing are subject to change at any time and are up to the artist’s discretion.

RESCHEDULING / CANCELLATION + NO CALL / NO SHOW

  • A NON-REFUNDABLE booking fee is required to hold your appointment; the remaining balance is due at the time of the appointment.

  • LATE POLICY: If you are 15 MINUTES late to your appointment, we may have to reschedule your appointment and a $100 inconvenience fee will apply. A new booking fee will be required to proceed with a new appointment. This policy not only protects your time with the artist you reserved but allows other clients to have their time honored too. Please plan ahead to ensure you have enough time to accommodate unexpected Bay Area traffic delays and your ability to find parking by the studio.

  • RESCHEDULE POLICY : Reschedules require a minimum of 72 HOURS notice. Prior to the 72 hour policy, clients are provided one courtesy reschedule however, multiple or excessive reschedules will be charged an inconvenience fee of $100 per reschedule. You can easily reschedule yourself by tapping the “change appointment” button within your appointment confirmation email.

  • If you attempt to reschedule/cancel your appointment within the 72 hour window, you will lose your booking fee and a new booking fee will be required to reserve another appointment. An additional $100 inconvenience fee may also apply.

  • NO CALL / NO SHOW POLICY : This is such a rarity but always such a huge bummer for all on the rare occasion that it does occur, hence the following policy… Any client that does not show for a scheduled appointment will forfeit their booking fee and their card on file will be charged for the full service + a standard 20% for gratuity. An additional $100 inconvenience fee may also apply.

  • Our priority is to keep clients and artists feeling both comfortable and safe in the studio!

  • If you are experiencing any illness symptoms 72 hours prior to your appointment please contact us IMMEDIATELY to reschedule. Please note, a $100 inconvenience fee may also apply.

  • ENTRANCE / MASK REQUIREMENTS : Your artist will welcome you, offer hand sanitizer and a fresh disposable mask. Masking is always up to the client comfort wise and our artists will remain masked during your treatment as a courtesy; we were doing this before COVID and will happily continue due to the close proximity of the client and artist.
